      VTi 65.1 Vertical Tube Rotor

      For use in instruments classified: H R S

      This titanium rotor is particularly appropriate for the separation of closed circular plasmid DNA from linear DNA in cesium chloride-ethidium bromide gradients. RNA will pellet; protein and other cellular components with low buoyant density in CsCl will float. The supercoiled plasmid will band in the central area of the tube with a starting CsCl density of approximately 1.55 g/mL. With typical sample loading, the plasmid band will not be in contact with the pellet or the components of the sample which float.

      Note: Solutions up to 1.7 g/mL in density can be run in this rotor without reduction in rotor speed.
